Just 150 metres from the hotel, following a short, pleasant walk away, is the L'Ogliera restaurant. Large windows and a sunlit panoramic terrace open out onto the surrounding nature and the sea on the horizon.
The restaurant's terrace or indoor dining area invite guests to relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere, complemented by a cuisine that celebrates the simplicity and rich culinary tradition of the island: fresh fish paired with home-grown flavours.
Dad Vincenzo personally oversees the menu, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients like traditional soups, meats, and especially fish. The hotel's offerings focus on seafood, with specialities such as the celebrated Spaghetti all'Ogliera and dishes like Taglierini al Tramaglio.
The fish primarily comes from Duilio, the town's sole professional fisherman, who provides Vincenzo with daily catches including octopus, cuttlefish, bream, sea bream, dentex, red mullet and crabs. The wine list is impressive, showcasing both local and national labels.
The Ogliera, or sea anemone, is a marine species found on the rocks of the north-western coast of the Isle of Elba. It has a strong, salty, and iodine-rich flavour, offering a scent of the sea with a mineral aftertaste that reflects the rock to which the anemone clings. Its unique taste blends mollusc and vegetable notes.
The restaurant is open to hotel guests and also to outsiders with an à la carte menu.
